La la la la, la la la la, Elmo's world...

Sometimes you just get lucky. And to be honest, with mum hanging around the Myer toy department a little more than perhaps she ought, odds are you're going to win yourself a get-together with a furry something-or-another at some point. This 'morning tea with Elmo' exceeded expectations. Not only was it the genuine Elmo complete with American puppeteer, but he sang Elmo's favourite songs, met the children and gave each a goody bag with an American sized cup-cake.

Now we admit that expectations were low. Tor had been convinced that Elmo wouldn't offer much tea-time conversation and confessed over breakfast that he wasn't interested in meeting the guy, just his 'morning tea'. Fortunately for Elmo his real-life presence proved more engaging than his on-screen personality. The two hit it off and we left well amused, leaving a trail of cup-cake crumbs to find our way back again.
